Progressive lenses that actually work, because the measurement is right.

Most "I can't adjust to progressives" problems are measurement, not the lens.

If you've heard someone say they "could never get used to progressives," there's a good chance the lens was fine and the measurement was off. Progressives are unforgiving: a few millimeters of error puts the reading zone in the wrong spot, and your eyes pay for it all day.

We measure digitally, finish in our own lab, and stand behind the fit, which is why many patients adapt to their progressives far more naturally than they expected.

Get progressives measured right.
01
The Problem

Why progressives fail (and it's usually not the lens).

A progressive lens packs distance, intermediate, and near vision into one lens with no visible line. That only works if the lens is positioned precisely in front of your eye. The most common reasons progressives feel wrong:

i.   One number, not two eyes

The optical center was measured with a marker and a ruler, capturing one number instead of your two eyes separately.

ii.   Height guessed

The vertical fitting height was guessed, so the reading zone sits too high or too low.

iii.   Chosen by price tier

The lens design was chosen by price tier, not by how you actually use your eyes.

Getting those three right is usually what makes the difference between progressives you fight and progressives you forget you're wearing. (Some people still struggle for other reasons, like prescription, frame choice, or expectations, and we'll be honest with you about that.)

The Solution

How we get it right.

  1. 01

Optikam digital measurement. We capture your left and right eyes separately, plus the vertical position of where you look through the lens. That's the measurement most offices skip.

  2. 02

The right design for your day. A teacher, a long-haul driver, and someone on a screen all day need different progressive designs. We match the lens to your life, not to a tier chart.

  3. 03

Finished in our own lab. We edge and fit your progressives here, so we can check the optics and adjust on the spot.

The Lenses

Zeiss and Unity, matched to you.

We build progressives with Zeiss and Unity lenses and choose the design based on your prescription, how you spend your day, and what your vision plan covers. Because we're not tied to one brand, we can match you to a design that fits rather than one default. We'll explain the choice plainly.

A note on plans: Unity designs are available for VSP patients. On other plans, including EyeMed, we match you to a Zeiss or other covered design.

04
Adjusting

Adjusting to new progressives.

Even a perfect pair takes a few days to feel automatic, because your eyes learn where to look. We coach you through it, and if something's genuinely off, we fix it. Our standard lens remake runs six months at no charge if the prescription is off or changes, so you're not stuck with a pair that isn't right.

05
Alternatives

Prefer not to wear progressives?

Some people would rather not wear progressives at all. If that's you, multifocal contact lenses are worth a look, and they're something we fit regularly.

Timing & Cost

How fast and how much.

Progressives are made at an outside lab and finished here, so plan on about a week, not same-day. We accept VSP and EyeMed and verify your plan before you order. No vision plan? Ask about COVE Plus, and remember COVE Plus members get 50% off a second pair, handy if you want a dedicated computer or reading pair alongside your progressives.

Questions

Common questions.

Q.01 I failed at progressives before. Will these be different? +

Often, yes, because the usual culprit is measurement, not the lens. We measure digitally (both eyes separately, plus vertical height), which is the step most often skipped.

Q.02 How long until they feel normal? +

Usually a few days as your eyes learn the lens. If they still feel wrong after that, bring them in.

Q.03 Can I get progressives same day? +

No. They're made at an outside lab and finished here, so plan on about a week. Doing them right takes more than a day.

Q.04 What brands do you use? +

Zeiss and Unity, matched to your prescription, your day, and your plan. Unity designs are available for VSP patients; on other plans, including EyeMed, we match you to a Zeiss or other covered design.

Q.05 What if they're not right? +

We adjust as long as you own them, and our standard lens remake is six months at no charge if the prescription is off or changes.
