
Dr. Matthew Karres
Dr. Matthew Karres has lived and worked in and around New Albany for many years. A graduate of New Albany High School, he’s deeply rooted in this community. His academic journey began at Capital University, followed by a unique detour into the United States Army, where he served as a combat medic. Dr. Karres went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
While in school, he developed a strong interest in specialty contact lenses, delving into designs such as scleral, gas permeable, multifocal, and orthokeratology lenses. Post-graduation, Dr. Karres continued to contribute to the field as a research optometrist, even presenting his research at several international conferences. Today, he combines his local roots, military experience, and advanced optometric training to provide exceptional eyecare services to the New Albany community and beyond. Dr. Karres is dedicated to making sure every patient sees their best.

Dr. Amy Keller
Dr. Amy Keller grew up in Normal, Illinois, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Subsequently, she relocated to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2000. Since then, Dr. Keller has served thousands of patients across Central Ohio. Her strong passion for patient care, coupled with her dedication to pediatric and family vision care, drives her. Additionally, she enjoys the challenge of finding the perfect contact lens solution for her patients.
Dr. Amy is an active volunteer for the Realeyes Classroom Education Program and has shared the magic of vision with over 13,000 students throughout Ohio. She is also an InfantSEE infant vision provider and she assists with the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program. Outside the office, Dr. Amy spends her free time with her husband and three daughters. Moreover, she is actively involved in her church’s Children’s Ministry and Worship Band. In addition to her professional life, she has a passion for barbershop harmony, where she sings as the lead with the award-winning Scioto Valley Chorus.

Dr. Kayli Dennis
Dr. Dennis, originally from Westerville, Ohio, completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences. In 2019, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating with honors and as a dedicated 4-year member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) Optometric Honor Society. Additionally, she actively participated in several student organizations, including the Contact Lens Advancement Society, Private Practice Club, and Epsilon Psi Epsilon Optometric Fraternity.
In her free time, Dr. Dennis enjoys traveling, watching football, especially the Buckeyes, watching movies, and reading or listening to audiobooks. She also loves spending time with her husband Ryan and their dog Scarlet.

Kevin P. – Optician
Kevin brings extensive experience in optical services to Central Ohio Vision and Eyecare. As a licensed optician, he has been instrumental in setting up labs and ensuring that our practice runs smoothly and efficiently, providing patients with the highest quality in eyewear services.
In addition to his technical expertise, Kevin is responsible for training our apprentices, sharing his wealth of knowledge to ensure that the next generation of opticians upholds our high standards of care. His dedication to exceptional patient service helps us deliver customized solutions that meet each individual’s vision needs.
Kevin is known for his friendly approach and commitment to going above and beyond to meet our patients’ expectations. His goal is to make sure that every patient not only receives the perfect eyewear but also enjoys an amazing experience from start to finish.

Louis – Optician & Insurance Billing Specialist
Louis is an experienced optician at Central Ohio Vision and Eyecare, dedicated to providing personalized care to every patient. In addition to his role as an optician, Louis is in charge of our insurance billing department, working diligently to maximize patient benefits and ensure a seamless experience.
With a passion for helping people see their best, Louis ensures that each person finds the perfect eyewear to match both their vision needs and style preferences. His expertise in insurance helps patients get the most out of their coverage, making quality eye care more accessible.
Known for his friendly demeanor and attention to detail, Louis goes above and beyond to create a positive experience for everyone who visits COVE. Whether it’s assisting with frame selection, providing adjustments, or answering questions about lens options, Louis is dedicated to helping every patient leave feeling confident about their vision and happy with their eyewear.

Karisa D. – Optician
Karisa D. has been with Central Ohio Vision and Eyecare since 2022, where she’s dedicated to helping patients achieve their best vision while finding frames that fit their unique style. In 2024, she earned her license as an optician, a milestone that highlights her dedication and expertise. Inspired by her mom, Karisa pursued a career in eye care and loves the challenge of learning new things every day. Her commitment to mastering her skills makes her an invaluable part of the team.
Karisa has a special talent for working with kids, which makes her a great fit for our family-friendly practice. When she’s not at the office, Karisa enjoys spending time with her two boys, tending her vegetable garden, and taking her German Shepherd, Nitro, on adventures. She also loves reading, drag racing, and riding her dirt bike—her adventurous spirit is reflected in her approach to both work and life.
Karisa believes in making every patient experience personal and memorable—and she’s quick to mention that COVE has the best snacks! Patients return for the genuine care, the friendly atmosphere, and the small details that make every visit enjoyable.

Kelsi McConnell – Apprentice Optician
Kelsi McConnell joined our team in June 2022 as a dedicated apprentice optician, helping patients find the perfect frames to match their unique style. With an Arts Degree and a talent for personalizing frame choices based on each patient’s aesthetic, Kelsi is passionate about making eyewear experiences both comfortable and empowering. She loves helping people discover glasses that not only fit well but also express their true energy, allowing them to feel like the best version of themselves.
Originally from Newark, Kelsi enjoys an active life with her 7-year-old son. Outside of work, she can be found at music festivals, practicing yoga, hiking, watching horror movies, or reading. Her diverse interests reflect her creative and balanced approach to life and her work. Whether you’re seeking a bold new look or a classic frame to match your personality, Kelsi is ready to help you find the perfect choice.
