Refine One Step: Hydrogen Peroxide

Refine One Step (formerly known as Sauflon) is the  contact lens solution we recommend a majority of the of the time for soft and hard lenses. It’s excellent at disinfecting and cleaning multiple-use contact lenses. At bedtime you remove your glasses and place them inside the small contact lens container, then fill it to the line with the Refine One Step solution. There is a small bit of metal that oxidizes on contact with the hydrogen peroxide solution, resulting in sterile saline and oxygen bubbles.

After 6-8 hours the solution is fully neutralized and your contacts are safe to insert. You may keep the sterile saline that is created by this for the remainder of the day, but you will need to fully empty and refill with fresh solution every night.
