SMALL ORGAN. EXTRAORDINARY WORLD.
Turn the eye. Look inside.
Explore the living layers beneath the surface.
BENEATH THE SURFACE
This is a model of a right eye, drawn to real proportions.
Select a part and press Look closer. When the camera gets close to the cornea, the lens, the macula, or the limbus, the model quietly swaps in microscopic detail: the layers inside them, and the rods and cones themselves.
Sizes, layer order and positions follow real anatomy. A few very thin layers are drawn thicker than life so you can actually see them, and those are marked where they appear. This is a teaching model, not a diagnosis.
